**Role: Early Years Coordinator**

**Salary**:Up to £27,600 per annum (depending on experience and qualifications)**

**Salary range is £25,000 to £27600 per annum**

**Contract/Hours: Permanent, Full Time 37 hours a week, 5 days a week Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm. There will be a rota to work Bank Holidays throughout the year.**

**About the Role**:
HMP Styal is an Early Years Mother and Baby unit that offers holistic support for mothers and their babies up to 18 months old who are often vulnerable and may have complex emotional and health needs. We work closely with a range of professionals and as part of a team to offer the best positive outcomes for the mothers on the unit and this is a vital part of our work. We are looking for a highly skilled, enthusiastic Early Years Coordinator to provide a range of stimulating activities for children aged 0-2 years in line with the Early Years Foundation stage.

**As an Early Years Coordinator, you will**:

- Provide individually or as part of a team, practical quality care, support interventions and range of activities and experiences to children, young people, and families, as advised and in line with agreed plans.
- Be alert to child protection and safeguarding issues and inform appropriate line managers about concerns in line with our policies and procedures.

**What You'll Bring**:
Our job description outlines the requirements of the role but the ‘must-haves' are:

- Relevant level 3 qualification in Early Years or above.
- Previous experience working in a nursery setting aged 0 to 5 years.
- Paediatric First Aid Qualification & Food Hygiene or ability to achieve.
- Ability to keep the child as the focus and ensure their feelings and wishes are represented in record keeping.
- Ability to be able to communicate effectively and engagingly and to maintain independent professional relationships, boundaries.
