We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at Healthshare Group. As an MSK Sonographer, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide efficient and effective ultrasound services, working within established policies and procedures.
- Report to and support the Senior Operations Manager with the running of the service.
- Ensure an exemplary level of customer service is upheld to patients, consultants, and clinic team.
- Perform a range of general and specialized examinations, maintaining the highest professional and technical standards.
- Adapt sonographic technique where patient presentation dictates.
- Ensure accurate records are maintained in line with policies and procedures.
- Comply with National & Local Infection Control Policies & Procedures.
- Liaise with the Radiologist or referring Consultant in an effective and professional manner.
- Work with minimal supervision or under own initiative.
- Participate in the Quality Assurance Programme in accordance with company policies.
- Follow the Health & Safety at work Act and ensure adherence to Healthshare policies.
- Support Risk Assessments to provide an environment, equipment, and working procedures that is as safe as reasonably practicable for patients and staff.
- Participate in further education in line with the requirements of the Health Professions Council through Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and complete appropriate mandatory training in line with company policy.
- Be prepared to vary working hours, as may be necessary, to meet the demands of the service.
- Flexible in approach to work and availability to work.
- BSc in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent.
- Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registered.
- Some post-registration experience.
- Current related professional knowledge.
- Safe use of equipment relevant to the post.
- Maintains a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Portfolio.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work on own initiative.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Flexible approach to duties.
- Good organisational skills.
- Ability to prioritize workload.
- Good IT skills.
- Understanding of and ability to maintain confidentiality.
