About the Role:

We are seeking a Sunday Sales Assistant to join our team in our Witham store. As a Sunday Sales Assistant, you will be responsible for providing a quality retail service, managing stock, displaying goods, and maintaining the appearance of the shop. You will also be responsible for maximising sales and promoting Gift Aid to our valued customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service and ensure a positive shopping experience for customers
  • Manage stock levels, including receiving, storing, and displaying merchandise
  • Maintain the appearance of the shop, including cleaning and tidying
  • Maximise sales by promoting products and services to customers
  • Process sales transactions and handle customer payments
  • Work effectively as part of a team to achieve sales targets and improve customer satisfaction

Requirements:

  • Excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Basic knowledge of Health & Safety and Fire regulations
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy bags of stock (up to 10kgs)
  • Previous experience of working or managing a retail shop would be an advantage
