Food Safety Manager

About Us:
Taiko has been established since 1997 as the first manufacturer of sushi for the UK supermarket industry. Over the past 25 years, we have evolved into the most innovative manufacturer of Sushi, Food To Go, Prepared Meals and Snacking products in the UK.
Your Role:
You will be responsible for coaching teams on food safety and quality standards, ensuring product safety and compliance. This includes managing non-conforming materials, conducting GMP audits, reviewing manufacturing records, and issuing reports with corrective actions.
What You Need:
- 2+ years of experience working with quality systems
- 2+ years of food manufacturing experience, preferably in a technical role
- Level 3 HACCP certification
- Level 3 Food Safety certification
- Auditor qualification
- Recognised allergen qualification
- Basic understanding of customer codes of practice
- Training in root cause analysis methods and tools
- Train the trainer certification
- Proficiency in Microsoft packages, especially Excel
Compensation:
The salary for this role is estimated to be around £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, based on market rates and industry standards. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including an annual discretionary bonus, life assurance, income protection, group personal pension, private medical cash plan, and more.
