Distribution Supply Technician

Job Summary:

This role involves managing the initial response to 'no supply' calls and other abnormalities on the Distribution System. The successful candidate will work within Network Operations, reporting to the Field Staff Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure rapid and safe response to emergency calls as directed by Network Operations or local office.
  • Provide regular updates via verbal or mobile electronic hand held devices following procedures.
  • Investigate voltage complaints and install test equipment.
  • Carry out Authorised Person (AP) duties.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have experience as a Distribution Craftsperson, with knowledge of fault investigation procedures and preferably authorised for 11KV switching and LV Linking.

Managers and supervisors carry both legal and company responsibilities for ensuring the health and safety of their employees, those under their control and those who might be affected by the work undertaken.
