Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly motivated Sales and Events Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting Manchester as a UK and international conference destination.
Key Responsibilities- Client Relationship Management: Maintain a small portfolio of clients with conference and accommodation requirements.
- Research and Forecasting: Research events to support the ABS and VLS forecast with delegate numbers, room nights, and revenue figures.
- Data Accuracy and Security: Ensure operating systems maintain data accuracy and adhere to information security policies.
- Negotiation and Financial Skills: Liaise with partners to secure mutually beneficial rates and contractual agreements.
- Commission Revenue: Maximise commission revenue for the Manchester Convention Bureau team.
- A minimum of 1 year of sales or customer service experience is required.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills are essential.
- Ability to work in an agile environment with customer service and sales experience.
The estimated salary for this role is £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a range of benefits, including flexible working arrangements, training and development opportunities, and a commitment to increasing workforce diversity.
