Senior Power Systems Transition Specialist

Our client is a leading player in the energy transition, accelerating the discovery, development, and deployment of innovations for the Energy Networks.

We are seeking a Senior Power Systems Transition Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 15 years' energy industry experience, preferably working for a UK Distribution Network Operator (DNO) or Transmission Network Operator (TNO). In-depth technical electrical power systems knowledge and expertise are essential.

The successful candidate will have an excellent understanding of challenges associated with the Energy Transition to a smart, flexible, low-cost, and low-carbon energy system. Experience across a range of business areas including operations, asset management, health and safety, and fault performance is required. Excellent report writing skills and facilitation experience are also necessary.

The role involves collaborating with Energy Network partners to scope and develop robust challenge statements to enable innovation in specific business areas, driving positive change across the industry. The successful candidate will also host industry workshops and meetings to develop ambitious proposals and project plans for presentation to industry partners.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing proposals and project plans for presentation to industry partners
  • Supporting the delivery of projects and deployment of solutions
  • Being the main point of contact for technical queries relating to Electrical Power Systems
