Job Title: Head of Recruitment

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Recruitment to join our team at Reconstruct Children and Adult Services. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading our recruitment efforts and driving the growth of our recruitment service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Service Set Up:
    • Establish systems, processes, and plans to mobilize the new service
    • Attract and onboard a recruitment team to support the growth of the service
  • Service Management and Growth:
    • Candidate Sourcing and Selection:
      • Identify, attract, and assess potential candidates through various channels, including job boards, social media, networking, and referrals
      • Conduct thorough interviews and assessments to evaluate candidates' skills, experience, and cultural fit
    • Client Relationship Management:
      • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their hiring needs and deliver tailored recruitment solutions
      • Provide regular updates and feedback to clients on the recruitment progress
    • Job Advertising and Marketing:
      • Create job descriptions and advertisements
      • Develop marketing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified candidates
    • Negotiation and Offer Management:
      • Handle salary negotiations and facilitate the offer management process
      • Ensure a positive candidate experience by managing expectations and addressing concerns
  • Management:
    • Team Leadership:
      • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of recruitment consultants
      • Provide guidance and support to ensure team members meet performance targets and goals
    • Process Improvement:
      • Continuously evaluate and enhance recruitment processes for efficiency and effectiveness
      • Implement best practices and stay updated on industry trends
    • Performance Metrics:
      • Set and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the recruitment team
      • Review data and provide regular reports on team and individual performance
    • Client and Stakeholder Engagement:
      • Collaborate with senior management and other departments to understand overall business goals and align recruitment strategies accordingly
      • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction
    • Compliance:
      • Ensure compliance with relevant employment laws, regulations, and company policies
      • Provide training and guidance to the team on compliance matters
    Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or a comparable level of work-based experience
    • Proven experience as a Recruitment Consultant, demonstrating success against targets
    • Proven experience in setting up a new service or penetrating new markets/geographies within an existing service
    • Previous experience in a managerial or leadership role within recruitment
    • Strong understanding of recruitment processes, sourcing techniques, and industry best practices
    • Experience or an understanding of the social care, health, and/or education sectors would be desirable
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
    Benefits:

    • Holidays: 25 days (plus bank holiday) increasing with length of service
