We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Social Worker to lead our Cared for Children Service team in Tameside. As a key member of the management team, you will be responsible for managing up to 7 Social Workers and overseeing the delivery of high-quality social care services to vulnerable children.

The successful applicant will have excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and support a team of experienced professionals. You will also have a deep understanding of the complexities of social work practice and the ability to provide guidance and oversight to ensure best practice.

Responsibilities and Requirements:

  • Manage a team of up to 7 Social Workers
  • Oversee the delivery of high-quality social care services to vulnerable children
  • Provide guidance and oversight to ensure best practice
  • Work closely with the management team to achieve organisational priorities

Skills and Qualifications:

">
  • DIPSW or equivalent qualification in Social Work
  • Social Work England registration
  • Enhanced and in-date DBS certificate
  • Flexible approach to work and working hours when the need arises

Hourly Rate: £45 per hour (dependent on experience)
