Job Title: Fire Safety Manager

Join The Pirbright Institute as a Fire Safety Manager and take on a challenging role that requires strategic leadership and vision to develop and maintain effective management of health, safety, and environment risks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead management of health, safety, and environment risk across the organisation
  • Maintain a service-driven delivery model to ensure prompt, effective, and outstanding support to risk owners
  • Develop and implement management systems and processes that are robust, streamlined, and deliver effective control of health, safety, and environment risk
  • Work in close collaboration with the Head of Biorisk to ensure alignment, integration, and support of management of critical Major Hazards
  • Build robust stakeholder assurance through development of Safety Performance Indicators, workplace inspection and internal audit programmes, incident investigations, and Learning from Experience exercises

Requirements:

  • NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, or equivalent
  • Experience of provision of health and safety management, including development and implementation of effective health, safety, and environment management systems, policies, and processes
  • Chartered Member of the Institution of Occupational Health and Safety, or equivalent
