About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as an Advanced Oncology Therapy Technician. As a key member of our Acute Oncology Unit, you will work under the supervision of a senior Allied Health professional to provide evidence-based advice to patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work on the inpatient wards to assist with nutrition screening, triaging of patient dietetic and SLT referrals, and provide first-line nutrition support advice.
  • Work under the guidance of the Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist to support patients with their therapy needs.
  • Assist with completion of administration tasks, such as referral of patients for ongoing care needs, liaison with GP surgeries, and primary care teams.
  • Provide training to ward staff and patients.
  • Manage your workload and own time effectively with regards to clinical priority.
  • Work within your own limitations and seek support from supervising AHPs when required.
  • Completion and analysis of data collection for the project.
What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who is keen to learn and has experience of working in a healthcare setting. Good communication and organizational skills are paramount to this role. Full training and support will be provided.
