Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Care Worker to join our team at Shellach View Children's House. As a key member of our residential care team, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and nurturing environment for children and young adults.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality care and support to children and young adults, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with children and young adults, understanding their individual needs and preferences.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider team and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and young adults.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in social care.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of care plans, ensuring they are tailored to meet the unique needs of each child and young adult.
Requirements
  • Good childcare experience, preferably in a residential setting.
  • Ability to centre on listening to children and young people, promoting their ability to flourish and thrive.
  • Willingness to undertake a range of training to enhance your skills in the post, including Child Protection, SVQ3 in Social Care, HNC in Social Care, and Crisis Prevention Training.
  • Registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) and knowledge of their framework for meeting the needs of children and young people.
  • Ability to work a planned day shift rota pattern, including weekend work.
