Wigan & Leigh College is seeking an ambitious Mechanical Engineering Trainer Assessor to join our team. As a Trainer Assessor, you will support apprentices through coaching, delivering lessons, preparing for end-point assessment, conducting workplace assessments, and setting action plans with employers.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background and understanding within the sector, supporting apprentices on the Engineering Technician standard and mandatory qualifications at level 3. A minimum of a level 3 mechanical engineering qualification is required, along with knowledge of MIG, TIG, and MMA.

A recognised assessment qualification would be advantageous, as well as experience using an e-portfolio system. This role includes IQA duties and developing the College's apprenticeship offer with employer partners.

We offer a competitive salary range of £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as benefits including health and wellbeing support, flexible working, discounts on travel and gym memberships through our Benefits Platform.
