**About the Role:**

We are looking for a skilled Assessment and Training Professional to join our team at Wigan & Leigh College. As a Mechanical Engineering Trainer and Assessor, you will be responsible for developing the College's offer of apprenticeship standards in conjunction with employer partners and awarding bodies.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in Mechanical Engineering, with a minimum of a Level 3 qualification. They will be responsible for supporting apprentices through workplace coaching, delivering lessons, and preparing for end-point assessments. The role also involves carrying out workplace assessments, conducting progress reviews, and setting action plans in conjunction with employers.

**Responsibilities and Requirements:

  • Supporting apprentices through workplace coaching
  • Delivery of lessons and preparing for end-point assessments
  • Carrying out workplace assessments
  • Conducting progress reviews and setting action plans in conjunction with employers
  • Developing the College's offer of apprenticeship standards in conjunction with employer partners and awarding bodies
  • Minimum of a Level 3 Mechanical Engineering qualification
  • Knowledge of MIG, TIG, and MMA
