About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Global Head of Enterprise Risk Management to join our team at Blockchain Ventures. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing an enterprise-wide risk strategy that aligns with our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Maintain Enterprise Risk Management Framework: Design, implement, and maintain a comprehensive risk management framework that identifies, assesses, and mitigates risks across the organization.
  • Provide Strategic Risk Guidance: Offer expert advice and guidance to executive management, the Board, and its Audit & Risk Committee on risk-related matters.
  • Promote a Risk-First Culture: Foster a culture that prioritizes risk management and encourages employees to identify and report potential risks.
  • Partner with Business Units: Collaborate with business units to understand their risk profiles and develop targeted risk management strategies.
  • Drive Risk-Related Initiatives: Lead and execute risk-related projects and initiatives to improve risk management practices and reduce risk exposure.
  • Manage Risk Committees: Establish and chair risk committees to oversee risk management activities and ensure effective risk governance.
  • Develop Risk Metrics and Analytics: Design and implement risk metrics and analytics to measure and report on risk performance.
Requirements
  • University Degree: Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Information Security, Economics, or Finance.
  • Professional Experience: Minimum 7 years of experience in risk management, preferably in the financial services industry.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the crypto and fintech industries is a plus.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent executive-level communication skills, with experience presenting to Boards and executive management.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide viable solutions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in English, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues across multiple time zones.
