Specialist Clinical Pharmacy Manager for Maternity and Gynaecology

The University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled Specialist Clinical Pharmacy Manager to join our team in the Maternity and Gynaecology department. As a key member of our clinical pharmacy team, you will be responsible for managing, leading, and coordinating pharmacy staff working in Maternity and Gynaecology care areas.
About the Role- Manage, lead and co-ordinate pharmacy staff working in Maternity and Gynaecology care areas, ensuring all members of the pharmacy team are trained and competent for their roles.
- Develop and implement clinical pharmacy policy in conjunction with senior pharmacists within Maternity and Gynaecology care areas.
- Provide specialist clinical pharmacy care to patients in Maternity and Gynaecology care areas and related units.
- Monitor, review, and report on medicines-related incidents within Maternity and Gynaecology care areas.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced pharmacist to join our dynamic team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care. We offer a competitive salary package, including a base salary of £63,000 per annum, plus a Recruitment & Retention Premia (RRP) totalling £5,000, payable upon appointment, covering 36 months of service.
Requirements
- Masters Degree in Pharmacy or equivalent.
- Postgraduate Clinical Pharmacy Certificate.
- Current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
- Proven experience in a range of clinical specialties, including maternity and gynaecology services.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
