Teach360 is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join our team at a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Lewisham. As a Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with students who face behavioural and emotional challenges, providing them with the support they need to overcome obstacles and achieve their goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Support students with challenging behaviours in a one-on-one and small group setting.
  • Develop and implement effective behaviour management strategies and de-escalation techniques.
  • Foster positive relationships with students to create a safe and supportive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff, leadership, and external agencies to ensure students receive the necessary support.
  • Help students with their academic work and encourage engagement in learning.
  • Track student progress and contribute to behavioural reports.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with young people displaying challenging behaviours, ideally within a PRU or similar setting.
  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
  • Passionate about supporting vulnerable students to overcome challenges and succeed.
  • Calm, patient, and resilient in the face of challenging situations.
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • DBS check required.
  • Relevant training or qualifications in behaviour management (e.g., Team Teach) are desirable.
