Youth Behaviour Support Professional

Teach360 is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join our team at a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Lewisham. As a Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with students who face behavioural and emotional challenges, providing them with the support they need to overcome obstacles and achieve their goals.
">Responsibilities:
- Support students with challenging behaviours in a one-on-one and small group setting.
- Develop and implement effective behaviour management strategies and de-escalation techniques.
- Foster positive relationships with students to create a safe and supportive learning environment.
- Collaborate with teaching staff, leadership, and external agencies to ensure students receive the necessary support.
- Help students with their academic work and encourage engagement in learning.
- Track student progress and contribute to behavioural reports.
Requirements:
- Experience working with young people displaying challenging behaviours, ideally within a PRU or similar setting.
- Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
- Passionate about supporting vulnerable students to overcome challenges and succeed.
- Calm, patient, and resilient in the face of challenging situations.
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- DBS check required.
- Relevant training or qualifications in behaviour management (e.g., Team Teach) are desirable.
