Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Volunteering Team Lead to join our Swindon service. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for recruiting, training, and developing peer mentors and volunteers to support service users in achieving recovery and reintegration services in the community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruit, train, and develop peer mentors and volunteers, including Volunteer Counsellors and student placements.
  • Provide quality services that meet the needs of service users, including those with substance misuse, offending, and social care issues.
  • Liaise and work with professionals from various services to ensure effective collaboration and support.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of peer mentors and volunteers.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of services and make recommendations for improvement.

About You

  • Experience and knowledge of working with individuals facing substance misuse, offending, and social care issues.
  • Experience of recruitment, organizing, and delivering training and line management.
  • Clear understanding of the need for and ability to deliver quality services.
  • Knowledge of substance misuse treatment, social care, and criminal justice systems.
  • Understanding of trauma in the substance misuse field.
