Job Overview

The Credit business within the Global Broking division at TP ICAP is a core asset class, spanning Voice & Hybrid activities, Liquidnet D2C & D2D, and Coex Agency. To meet client requirements, the business needs dedicated support for technology advancement and innovation.

This role is for a Global Credit Product Manager who will work within the front office, leading the global product strategy and technology product roadmap. The individual will work with technology groups in EMEA, Americas, and APAC regions to guide the SAFe Agile Release Train in achieving Product OKRs, KPIs, client needs, and business goals. They will be solutions-focused, ensuring maximum business value throughout the product lifecycle.

The Global Product Manager will work closely with the Global Head of Credit to set and implement the technology strategy across all Credit protocols. The role will oversee regional Credit product managers to ensure delivery of localized plans. The Global Credit Product Manager will support commercial leads and global Sales Teams in communications with clients to drive platform adoption and report post-delivery KPIs and success measures to the Board and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

The role involves the following activities to achieve these objectives:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive global strategy for the Credit product suite, aligning with market trends, client needs, and regulatory requirements.
  • Be accountable for the vision and product roadmap for the Agile Release Train, ensuring it aligns with the company's business strategy.
  • Champion business goals and projects within technology.
  • Communicate the product strategy and end-to-end plans to senior business stakeholders.
  • Train teams on the product and strategy within Global Broking and the wider group businesses.
  • Continually build and share knowledge as the subject matter expert on business and group products, regulations, and workflow within the product design process.
  • Define, prioritize, and maintain the product roadmap with inputs from Product Owners, Release Train Engineer, and System Architect, ensuring it is inspiring but achievable and responsive to changes in business objectives and client needs.
  • Work closely with Global Product Managers across other asset classes to share knowledge, recognize commercial and technological synergies, and increase collaboration and communication.

Analysis

The individual will understand platform and product usage and performance, setting direction for improvements. They will identify opportunities to improve business profitability, process, and efficiency through technology change. They will also identify risks and issues in the current landscape and make recommendations to mitigate and resolve.

Product Development

The Global Credit Product Manager will develop and drive initiatives through the product design and governance process. They will lead the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from ideation and market analysis to adoption and ongoing optimization. They will develop, own, and deliver the Technology Product Roadmap for the business line. They will recommend solutions and challenge stakeholders on the impact of integration, new business initiatives, and regulatory change on the roadmap. They will drive high-level priority, scope, and schedule and budget trade-off decisions with business, ensuring a customer-centric approach throughout. They will bring innovative ideas and approaches to the business technology stack.

Planning & Delivery

The individual will develop high-level functional, non-functional, and data requirements for new initiatives. They will provide direction and drive decision-making, enabling delivery teams to execute the plan effectively. They will analyze the impact of project change to related business functions and stakeholders. They will ensure any project impact is communicated and accepted by the appropriate business functions prior to implementation. They will be responsible for raising any issues, risks, and dependencies that could impact delivery timelines. They will be accountable for defining and reporting Agile Release Train OKRs alongside the Release Train Engineer. They will support the quality process at each stage of the product lifecycle. They will communicate training, rollout, and transition plans to business stakeholders, alongside Product Owners and Product Sales teams. They will work with technology service teams to monitor, maintain, and improve the level of service.

Market Analysis

The Global Credit Product Manager will research global market dynamics, competitor activities, and regulatory changes affecting Credit products, providing insights to inform decision-making.

Client Engagement

The individual will collaborate closely with clients to understand their evolving needs, ensuring the development of innovative Credit products and solutions that meet and exceed expectations. They will adopt a customer-centric mindset and aim to empathize with clients when building solutions. They will understand platform and product usage and performance, setting direction for improvements.

Cross-functional Collaboration

The Global Credit Product Manager will work closely with internal stakeholders, including Brokers, Sales, Technology, and Control and Support functions, to ensure seamless product design, development, implementation, and internal and external adoption. They will be responsible for the smooth running of the Agile Release Train, working closely with the Release Train Engineer and System Architect to make crucial decisions on initiatives, preparing teams for PI planning, and participating actively in all ART ceremonies.

Risk Management

The individual will assess and manage risks associated with Credit products, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and internal risk management protocols.

Performance Monitoring

The Global Credit Product Manager will outline Objectives and Key Results for the Credit business that align with broader business strategy, focusing success measures on outcomes such as Value, Usability, and Viability. They will establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and regularly evaluate product performance, identifying opportunities for enhancement and growth.

Platform Commercialisation

The individual will present the platform to clients and other key stakeholders, e.g., Board/Investors. They will work with the Global Head of Product, Senior Managing Directors, Desk Heads, Sales, Marketing, and the Client Relationship Team to create a strategic plan for client adoption. They will gather feedback from clients and other stakeholders on the platform offering and implement changes as and when required.

Training and Support

The Global Credit Product Manager will provide training and support to Technology and global Sales teams, ensuring a deep understanding of Credit products and strategy. They will support and provide guidance to Product Owners in understanding the full scope of requirements for initiatives and supporting in prioritization where required.

Reporting

The individual will produce and report KPIs, end-to-end plans, milestones, and client feedback on a regular cadence for appropriate committees and boards.
