Job Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Advanced Health Care Assistant to join our dynamic team providing care for sick neonates.

Main Duties of the Job

This challenging role requires a flexible and proactive approach to develop existing skills in a new environment. Collaborative working is essential between parents, families, and the multidisciplinary team. The post holder must have excellent communication skills.

After a full induction programme, you will work with guidance from our friendly and supportive team with a great deal of experience to share. The post provides opportunities for training and development to further advance your skills and career.

Education and Qualifications

Essential Criteria

  • Holds QCF Level 2 (Previously NVQ Level 2) in Care
  • NVQ level 3 is essential or willingness to work towards

Desirable Criteria

  • IT skills
  • Diploma in Nursery Nursing or
  • Food Hygiene certificate
  • Child Development Course

Occupational Experience

Essential Criteria

  • 6 months experience of working at NVQ Level II in Care
  • Experience of working with children

Desirable Criteria

  • Training in collecting blood
