Job Summary
We are seeking a Girls and Young Women Support Specialist to join our team. This role will be responsible for developing and delivering targeted programs for girls and young women aged 9-19 years old. The successful candidate will work closely with the Youth Programme Manager and Senior youth worker to deliver our open-access Youth Programme, with an emphasis on making those sessions more accessible to girls and young women.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver a targeted program for girls and young women that includes single-gender sessions and one-to-one casework.
  • Work closely with the Youth Programme Manager and Senior youth worker to deliver our open-access Youth Programme, with an emphasis on making those sessions more accessible to girls and young women.
  • Collaborate with services across the organization to promote the inclusion of girls and young women, identify individuals who would benefit from targeted support, and develop cross-service projects that support the needs of girls and young women.
  • Promote the program to referral partners and reach out to marginalized groups of girls and young women.

Requirements
  • A strong understanding of the needs and challenges faced by girls and young women in the local community.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to develop and deliver targeted programs that meet the evolving needs of girls and young women.
  • Experience working with young people and a good understanding of child safeguarding principles.

Benefits
The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of £27,000 per annum, plus 26 days' annual leave. Additionally, they will have access to ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
