We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Consultant in Public Health to lead on Health Protection, supporting both councils to protect residents from health hazards arising from infectious disease and the environment.
Key Responsibilities- Lead on health protection work, including infection prevention and control, national immunisation and screening programmes, inclusion health, air quality, climate change, and sustainability.
- Provide public health lead on all health protection work, including reporting to the Director of Public Health.
- Line management support to a team of staff, linking with the wider Public Health Team and other council directorates as needed.
- Strong skills and experience in leading on complex Public Health issues.
- Positive attitude and ability to cope with multiple and changing demands.
- Flexibility and autonomy to work effectively.
