Internal Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced band nurse to join our Tarver Dialysis Unit as a Deputy Sister/Charge Nurse. The ideal candidate will be passionate about renal nursing and committed to delivering high standards of patient care. They will be responsible for staff management, delivering high-quality dialysis, and monitoring nursing standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Staff management: recruitment, induction, training, absence management, and performance management
  • Delivering high-quality dialysis
  • Monitoring nursing standards and ensuring compliance with the NMC Code
  • Liaison with other dialysis unit managers in the Oxford Kidney Unit
  • Conducting dialysis assurance and Health and Safety audits

Requirements

To be successful, you will need to be a qualified RN with a valid NMC registration. You will also need excellent communication, organisation, leadership, and HR skills. You must be flexible and able to adapt to and support change.
