Nurture Teaching Assistant Position

About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Nurture Teaching Assistant to join our team at a primary school in the Haslingden area. The successful candidate will work with a small group of primary pupils, providing 1:1 support with phonics and reading strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver tailored sessions to small groups of pupils, promoting academic achievement and social growth.
- Build professional relationships with children and young people, fostering a nurturing environment.
- Support the social, emotional, and mental health of students, providing guidance and encouragement.

Requirements For Success
- Experience supporting students with SEN in a professional or personal capacity.
- Ability to implement behaviour strategies confidently.
- Strong knowledge of the KS1 & KS2 curriculum and phonics.
- Background in support work or mentoring children and young adults.
- Emotional and physical resilience to meet the challenges of the role.
