Job Summary

University Hospital Southampton NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Pharmacist Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our pharmacy department, you will play a vital role in providing clinical expertise and support to our patients and staff.

Main Duties

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a variety of clinical rotations, including medicine, neurosciences, surgery, critical care, and oncology. You will be responsible for providing clinical input to ward rounds, attending multidisciplinary team meetings, and developing clinical skills in areas such as leadership and management, education, and research.

You will also have the opportunity to work with specialist and consultant pharmacists, developing your skills and expertise in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Pharmacy, GPhC registration, and sound knowledge of a surgical or medical specialty. You will also have experience of teaching and tutoring, as well as a sound understanding of healthcare priorities and political agendas.
