Job Title: Clinical Pharmacist Specialist

University Hospital Southampton NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Pharmacist Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our pharmacy department, you will play a vital role in providing clinical pharmacy services to patients and healthcare professionals.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Pharmacist Specialist to work in a dynamic and supportive environment. You will be responsible for providing clinical pharmacy services, including medication management, patient education, and collaboration with healthcare teams. You will also have the opportunity to develop your skills and expertise in a variety of areas, including clinical pharmacy practice, leadership, and education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical pharmacy services to patients and healthcare professionals
  • Develop and implement clinical pharmacy practice guidelines and protocols
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to improve patient outcomes and medication management
  • Provide education and training to healthcare professionals and patients
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of pharmacy services and policies
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A Master's degree in Pharmacy or a related field
  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
  • Sound knowledge of clinical pharmacy practice and medication management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
