Job Description:

At Leonardo, we are seeking an Aerospace Mechanical Technical Support Apprentice to join our team. As a key player in the Aerospace, Defence, and Security sectors, we offer a unique opportunity for individuals to develop their skills and knowledge in mechanical engineering.

As an Aerospace Mechanical Technical Support Apprentice, you will be part of a dynamic team that designs, develops, and manufactures advanced helicopters and rotary wing technology. You will have the opportunity to work on various projects, including airframe, propulsion, fuel, hydraulics, flying controls, rotors, and transmissions.

Programme Description

Our Aerospace Mechanical Technical Support apprenticeship is ideal for individuals who are interested in the theoretical side of engineering, including planning, scheduling, design, development, and test elements of mechanical engineering. This scheme is primarily office-based, and you will have the opportunity to experience various placements across the Engineering department.

Qualifications Required

You will need to have 5 GCSEs at a minimum of a C/4, including GCSE Maths at a minimum of a B/6. These grades are non-negotiable.

Desired Skills

We are looking for individuals with knowledge and experience in engineering, a thirst for continuous improvement, an eye for detail, and good communication skills. You should also be able to work in cross-functional teams and have good IT skills.
