About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Engineering Support Specialist to join our team at PM Group. As an Engineering Support Specialist, you will provide mechanical engineering support to project engineers and contribute to the delivery of high-quality projects.

The successful candidate will have a degree in mechanical engineering and a minimum of 5 years' experience working within the chemical/petrochemical industry. They will be responsible for preparing detail design packages, supervising contract staff, and liaising with site maintenance and process personnel.

This role requires strong technical skills, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will also have experience working on top-tier COMAH sites and familiarity with associated regulations.

The estimated salary for this position is £55,000-£70,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Prepare detail design packages for mechanical/systems works
  2. Supervise contract staff carrying out site installation works
  3. Liaise with site maintenance and process personnel to ensure project success
  4. Deliver mechanical Capex/Decom projects from concept through to commissioning and handover
  5. Support Knowledge Management, Quality Improvement, and Good Manufacturing Practice programmes
