Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to oversee our UK-based operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and motivating our team of quality auditors, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and implementing HACCP systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and motivate a team of quality auditors to ensure they are developed, directed, and provided with meaningful feedback
  • Implement legal requirements of Food Safety, as well as constantly improving the HACCP System and food safety procedures based on the Codex Alimentarius
  • Ensure compliance with HALAL requirements and prepare annual certification
  • Complete supplier audits in liaison with the Purchasing Manager to ensure raw materials comply with exceptionally high DO & CO standards
  • Plan and manage scheduled audits, including Hygiene Audits, Glass and Foreign Body Audits, GMP and HACCP Audits
  • Liaise with external bodies like EHO and FSA to ensure production updates when legislations are amended
  • Build partnerships with customers and identify non-compliance issues
  • Establish processes to ensure all specifications and recipes are up-to-date
  • Lead by example, providing strategic thinking, problem-solving, and team management skills
Requirements
  • BSc Food Science or equivalent experience in a similar role
  • HACCP & Food Hygiene Certification
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office package with excellent data analysis skills
  • Strong understanding of Health and Safety principles and Sustainability requirements
