Job Overview

Oculus Legal Group is seeking a Conveyancing Paralegal to join our team in the Midlands. As a Conveyancing Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Fee Earners in handling a high volume of transactions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support a highly skilled team of Fee Earners in handling conveyancing transactions
  • Build relationships with other professionals involved in property transactions
  • Provide quotations to clients and prospective clients
  • Attend to clients via phone and in person
  • Prepare correspondence using our case management system
  • Prepare files for completion
  • Draft completion statements
  • Report to clients on searches, mortgage contracts, and title packs
  • Check MLR and obtain evidence of funds
  • Raise enquiries with seller's solicitors
  • Reply to enquiries of lender's solicitors and deal with lender requirements
  • Administer filing systems, including daily filing and storage of client files

Requirements

  • High personal standards of work
  • Minimum of 6 months' experience in a conveyancing department
  • Desire to progress career in conveyancing
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and remain calm under pressure
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
