Job Title: Fire Sprinkler Engineer

My client, a well-established Group within Fire Protection and Security, is seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler Engineer to join their growing team. As a Fire Sprinkler Engineer, you will have access to a number of progression routes within the business, driven by a person-led management style that recognises and rewards individual talents.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Installation, servicing, and maintenance of BS EN 12845 compliant fire sprinkler systems across commercial and residential properties.
  2. Testing and maintenance of dry riser systems in accordance with BS 9990 and wet riser systems in line with BS 9990 and other relevant UK fire safety regulations.
  3. Perform routine inspections and commissioning of systems in line with UK standards, including weekly, monthly, and annual testing protocols.
  4. Liaise with local fire authorities, building inspectors, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with fire safety legislation.
  5. Respond to a management-led call out once every 2 months on a rota.
  6. Ensure that all documentation, such as test certificates and maintenance records, are completed and stored in accordance with BS 5839 and relevant health and safety legislation.
  7. Work with project managers and clients to ensure all projects are completed on time, to specification, and in compliance with UK fire safety regulations.
Requirements:
  1. A minimum of 3 years experience as a Fire Sprinkler Engineer.
  2. Proven experience as a Fire Sprinkler Engineer with a strong understanding of UK fire safety regulations, including BS EN 12845, BS 9251, and BS 9990.
  3. Comprehensive knowledge of fire sprinkler systems, dry and wet riser systems, and current British fire safety standards.
  4. Demonstrated ability to carry out small works and make modifications to existing systems while adhering to UK regulatory requirements.
  5. Full, clean UK driving license is essential.
