Job Title: Marine Painters

CV-Library is seeking a skilled Marine Painter to join our team in Plymouth.

Estimated Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 per annumAbout the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Marine Painter to work on a 12-month contract based in Plymouth. The successful candidate will have a sound understanding of surface preparation standards and relevant experience in various coating application techniques.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare bare substrates and existing coatings using systematic approaches.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of quality standards associated with surface preparation.
  • Provide technical guidance to colleagues on techniques and procedures within their competence.
  • Apply coating materials in a marine environment by brush, roller, conventional spray, and airless spray.
  • Maintain husbandry of working areas and protect equipment.
  • Institute Damage Control markings on raised tallies.
Requirements:
  • NVQ level 3 Industrial/Marine/Painting/Decorating or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience working in a marine, industrial, or commercial environment.
  • Knowledge of submarines and warships desirable.
  • Airless spraying experience and sign writing experience desirable.
  • Sound understanding of Health & Safety/COSHH.
