About the Role

This role will involve providing technical marine ecological and marine consenting advice to internal and external clients. You will be responsible for managing inputs to a wide range of workstreams and deliverables across various projects, including involvement in the full EIA or DCO development cycle of major projects.

The ideal candidate will have comprehensive marine ecological expertise, with demonstrable experience in the preparation and review of specialist technical chapters and all associated impact assessments. They will also have a detailed understanding of the marine consenting and licencing regimes across the UK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical marine ecological and marine consenting advice to clients
  • Manage inputs to workstreams and deliverables
  • Deliver marine ecology impact assessments, including ES chapters and associated assessments
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies, including the MMO, NRW, Scottish MD, and The Crown Estate
Requirements
  • Recognised degree in a relevant discipline such as marine biology/ecology or a related biological or science discipline
  • Appropriate professional membership (CIEEM or similar) or eligibility to qualify for this status
  • Comprehensive marine ecological expertise with demonstrable experience in the preparation and review of specialist technical chapters and all associated impact assessments
