About the Opportunity

The HVAC / Piping category at Jacobs focuses on delivering high-quality engineering services for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, as well as piped services, across the Sellafield site. As an Area Engineering Manager, you will lead a partner-led method for design services, working closely with an Axiom Area Engineering Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage the engineering elements of project/task baseline scope, schedule, and budget
  • Coordinate delivery across disciplines, ensuring timely and effective completion of tasks
  • Assess new items on the worklist and define the scope of work required
  • Ensure work portfolio is delivered and controlled efficiently and effectively to meet agreed specification, cost, and schedule
  • Report status and performance of work accurately and in a timely manner
  • Lead production of design Quality Plans
  • Coordinate LFE across the category
  • Interface with design teams and stakeholders
Requirements
  • Proficient understanding of Project System Engineering Delivery
  • Requirements derivation and validation through stakeholder engagement
  • Strong leadership behaviors to drive timely delivery of an engineering schedule to quality and cost
  • Strong interpersonal skills for managing the interface between the client team and the integrated delivery team
  • Demonstrable experience in delivering early phase scoping activities and project initiation for multi-discipline asset care projects
  • Developing 'fit for purpose' project execution strategies for asset care type work
