About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mental Health Advisor to join our expanding Mental Health Advisory Team. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with students, staff, and external partners to provide high-quality mental health support and guidance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 1-1 and group sessions with students, using the recovery model to support their mental health and wellbeing.
  • Develop and implement care plans, risk assessments, and risk reduction strategies to support students with complex mental health needs.
  • Line manage Mental Health Advisors, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
  • Contribute to the development of the service, including project work, service risk management, and liaison with internal and external partners.
  • Attend and contribute to multi-disciplinary complex case meetings, case reviews, and service capacity management.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to be a qualified Mental Health Nurse, Mental Health Occupational Therapist, Mental Health Social Worker, or Clinical Psychologist, with current registration with a relevant professional body. You will also need significant clinical experience, exceptional knowledge of supporting people with complex mental health needs, and clear managerial experience with good knowledge of HR processes.
