Senior Mental Health Advisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mental Health Advisor to join our team at the University of Bristol. As a Senior Mental Health Advisor, you will play a key role in supporting students with complex mental health needs, providing clinical supervision, and contributing to the development of our mental health services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality clinical services to students with complex mental health needs, including assessment, formulation, and intervention.
- Lead on complex case management, working closely with students, staff, and external agencies to ensure effective support and outcomes.
- Provide clinical supervision to Mental Health Advisors, supporting their professional development and ensuring high-quality practice.
- Contribute to the development of our mental health services, including service planning, policy development, and quality assurance.
- Work collaboratively with other teams and services across the university to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to student wellbeing.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A relevant professional qualification in mental health, such as a mental health nursing, occupational therapy, or clinical psychology degree.
- Significant experience of working with students with complex mental health needs, including assessment, formulation, and intervention.
- Experience of leading on complex case management and providing clinical supervision.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and external agencies.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to work within a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
