Behaviour Support Specialist

Horizon Teachers are currently working with an Ofsted good rated Primary School in the borough of Brent. The school is seeking a Behaviour Mentor to work 1:1 with a child in their Year 4 class who requires close support due to SEMH needs and challenging behaviours.
The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher to manage the child's behaviour and use their initiative to develop strategies to support the child's needs. This is a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on a child's life and develop your skills as a Behaviour Mentor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work 1:1 with a child in Year 4 who requires close support due to SEMH needs and challenging behaviours
- Work closely with the class teacher to manage the child's behaviour
- Develop strategies to support the child's needs
Requirements:
- Experience working with children with SEMH needs and challenging behaviours
- Ability to work closely with the class teacher to develop strategies to support the child's needs
- Initiative and ability to think creatively to develop strategies to support the child's needs
