Technical Engineering Leadership

As a key member of the Vantage Consulting team, the Technical Director will play a crucial role in helping internal teams understand the complexities of transmission infrastructure delivery and develop pragmatic solutions to challenges. This involves collaborating with electrical engineers and policy experts to identify process improvements and drive innovation.

The ideal candidate will have experience in tendering for and managing external consultants to deliver specific projects related to transmission planning and development. They will also engage with existing network owners to leverage their expertise and understand existing processes.

Key responsibilities include defining technical requirements, completing technical evaluations, and evaluating transmission feasibility, system impact, and facility studies. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of wider network interactions and the ability to drive commercial outcomes for large-scale design and construction infrastructure projects.
