Are you a skilled Network Engineer looking for a new challenge? We have an exciting opportunity for a Network Infrastructure Specialist to join our team at Yorkshire Building Society.

This is a hybrid role, with a mix of remote working and occasional onsite presence in our Bradford office. As a Network Infrastructure Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure, ensuring it is secure, compliant, and performant.

You will work closely with our Technology Infrastructure Platform and Networks team to deliver and maintain compliant and performant network data and security services across YBS. This includes providing daily support of incidents and change requests within the Network Service Data Team.

About the role

As a Network Infrastructure Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure
  • Providing daily support of incidents and change requests within the Network Service Data Team
  • Working on other tasks that will include design, documentation, and subsequent installation, configuration, and support of infrastructure required to sustain the various phases of Network implementation

About you

We are looking for someone with:

  • Experience designing, implementing, and supporting LAN/WAN networks
  • A good understanding of Internet Protocol (IP) networks
  • Track record in implementing security techniques around Internet-facing services
  • DNS and DHCP in Windows/Unix and Internet environment experience
  • Understanding of vulnerability assessment/penetration testing
  • Knowledge of OSPF, BGP, Spanning-Tree, VPNs, and Wireless technologies
  • Possess good Security/Network problem diagnosis and resolution skills
  • Security/firewall experience including Cisco ASA's (with FirePOWER) and Check Point would be desirable
  • F5 application delivery controller experience would be desirable
