Finance Director Opportunity

Sheridan Maine South is seeking a seasoned Finance Director to drive operational excellence and financial performance. As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will lead a large finance team and report directly to the CEO.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Leadership: Oversee financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow processes, providing insightful analysis and recommendations to support operational decisions.
  • Process Improvement: Drive efficiency in the finance function through streamlined processes and timely reporting.
  • Strategic Partnership: Collaborate closely with senior management to develop and implement long-term financial strategies that enhance both operational and financial performance.
  • Risk Management: Analyse financial performance, identify areas for improvement, and proactively address risks to drive sustainable growth.
  • Compliance: Ensure the accuracy and compliance of financial reports with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
  • Team Leadership: Motivate and guide the finance team by fostering an environment of open communication and collaboration, ensuring that each member feels valued and actively contributes to the organisation's success.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Professional Qualification: Professional qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) is essential.
  • Leadership and Communication: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the gravitas to work closely with the board and SLT.
  • Industry Experience: Significant experience in an operational senior finance role within the FMCG, Manufacturing or Retail sectors.
  • Team Development: Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships and fostering collaboration across the organisation.
