Operations Manager Job Description

Oceaneering is a global provider of engineered services and products, primarily to the offshore energy industry. We develop products and services for use throughout the lifecycle of an offshore oilfield, from drilling to decommissioning.

Job Summary

The Operations Manager will lead the Operations team to make informed decisions that positively impact both personnel and the business unit. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as a deep understanding of the offshore energy industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing safety policies and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with other functions to execute tasks flawlessly.
  • Oversee the usage of asset and maintenance management systems.
  • Participate in Project and Engineering meetings as required.
  • Manage the reporting of Non-conformances and cost of poor quality (COPQ).
  • Assist with technical data for jobs such as changes to drawings and schematics.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Run morning Operations toolbox talks.
  • Undertake specific projects as instructed by Supervisors/Management.
  • Ensure the readiness and competency of all offshore and onshore technicians.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, or Management preferred.
  • Relevant Oilfield experience, including at least three (3) years of Administrative, Office or Operations Management experience.
  • Knowledge of department's policies, rules, regulations, business goals, vision, organizational structure, culture, philosophy, operating principles, and values.
Working Conditions

This position is considered OFFICE WORK, characterized as follows:

  • Almost exclusively indoors during the day and occasionally at night.
