About the Business

A leading international organisation providing specialist products and services to the UK market is seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of the UK organisation while being part of a dynamic international Group.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a suite of financial Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to support commercial operations, including profitability, operational expenditure, capital expenditure, working capital, and cash flow.
  • Provide insightful analysis of financial data to local and group leadership, ensuring informed decision-making.
  • Oversee the monthly closing process in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and local Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Prepare and file local annual accounts, serving as the primary point of contact for internal and external audit, ensuring compliance with internal and external guidelines.
  • Reconcile transactional data and management reporting with comprehensive balance sheet analysis.
  • Prepare and file local tax declarations, including corporate and other tax obligations.
  • Lead ad hoc financial and commercial projects in the UK, driving business growth and improvement.
  • Direct and indirect management of a small but professional UK Finance team.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with a strong technical foundation. Experience in reporting within an international organisation is advantageous. You will possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as well-developed stakeholder management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel and Visual Basic), SAP, and SAGE is required. Additionally, you will demonstrate the ability to improve and implement enhanced processes and controls, with strong analytical skills and problem-solving experience.
