WestonsuperMare, North Somerset, United Kingdom Second Step Full time

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Mental Health Support Service Lead to join our team at Second Step, a leading mental health charity in the South West.

As a Mental Health Support Service Lead, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality support services to individuals with mental health needs. You will be responsible for supervising and mentoring a team of Recovery Navigators, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide effective support.

You will work closely with clients to assess their needs and develop tailored support plans, taking a holistic approach to meet their physical, emotional, and social needs. Your experience of working with people with multiple needs, including mental health, homelessness, and substance misuse, is essential in providing practical and emotional support to enable them to take up the responsibilities of their own tenancy and settle into the community.

In this role, you will also be responsible for monitoring and evaluating service performance, implementing changes to ensure best practice, and maximizing service outcomes. Your IT proficiency and organizational skills will be essential in maintaining accurate records and ensuring seamless communication within the team.

To succeed in this role, you will need a proven track record of supervising staff, students, or volunteers, as well as significant experience working with people with mental health needs, including needs assessments and support planning. Your ability to build trusting relationships with clients and colleagues alike is critical in creating a warm and welcoming environment that promotes hope and optimism for recovery.

We offer a competitive salary of £40,000 per annum, which reflects your extensive experience and qualifications in the field of mental health support. As a valued member of our team, you can expect a range of benefits, including opportunities for professional development, flexible working arrangements, and a supportive working environment that prioritizes your well-being.

At Second Step, we are committed to inspiring hope and delivering change for everyone and every community we serve. If you share our passion for mental health support and are looking for a challenging yet rewarding role, please submit your application today.
