Job Title: PC/EPOS Field Service Engineer

Are you a skilled technical professional looking for a challenging role in the IT support industry? We have an exciting opportunity for a PC/EPOS Field Service Engineer to join our team.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Field Service Engineer to cover the North, North East, and North West of England, with occasional travel to Southern Scotland. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining PC/EPOS equipment, including receipt printers, laser printers, routers, and switches.

You will work independently, completing tasks such as new PC installations, reloading MS operating software, and repairing receipt printers to assembly level. You will also diagnose and repair laser printers, detect and remove virus infections, and investigate solutions to problems independently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and maintain PC/EPOS equipment, including receipt printers, laser printers, routers, and switches
  • Repair and replace faulty equipment, including receipt printers, laser printers, and cash drawers
  • Diagnose and repair complex technical issues, including virus infections and network configuration problems
  • Provide excellent customer service, communicating effectively with customers and the call centre
  • Work independently, completing tasks with minimal supervision
What We Offer:

We offer a competitive salary of up to £27,000, depending on experience, plus various incentive bonuses. You will also receive appointed O/T paid and weekends available, a van provided, and ongoing training. Our company is a nationwide IT support organisation established in 1988, working in partnership with manufacturers, software houses, and system integrators.

We cover a wide range of PC base EPOS equipment, including exposure to the latest technologies. Our market sectors include hospitality, leisure, and retail, with some clients working 24/7 365 days a year.
