Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Customs Compliance Lead to join our team at DSV. As a key member of our customs compliance team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all customs activities are conducted in accordance with relevant regulations and policies.

Main Responsibilities

  • Supervise security access to ensure a safe and secure environment for employees and visitors.
  • Drive a high level of customs compliance and ensure that all DSV customs compliance policies are adhered to.
  • Provide technical customs support across the 3 DSV divisions with preference, Customs Warehousing and Special Procedures.
  • Manage user access for customs software and Government Gateway.
  • Approve requests to use DSV's Excise Movement Guarantee.
  • Ensure that, where required, any import and/or export permits/licences are in place to allow for the smooth movement of goods into and out of the UK.
  • Maintain all supporting customs documentation for import and export consignments, completing all relevant HMRC returns, where required.
  • Assist with all relevant HMRC, HM Government and corporate/internal audits as required.
  • Provision of customs internal training to the DSV divisions.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a Trade Compliance, Customs Compliance or freight forwarding, logistics, import/export orientated role.
  • Knowledge of Customs regulations (desirable).
  • Experience in customs entries (essential).
  • Customs Warehouse experience (desirable).
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and KPIs.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
