Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs to ensure compliance with local regulations and achieve the organization's sustainability goals.
  • Design and implement policies, standards, and guidelines for EHS-related topics, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Manage regional or local EHS management systems, coordinating audits, analyses, and documentation of findings.
  • Provide expert advice on EHS-related matters, supporting the implementation of sustainable processes and products.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, regulatory agencies, and associations to ensure operational compliance and effective communication.

Qualifications

  • Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) qualification
  • NEBOSH General Certificate (required); NEBOSH Fire Certificate and Diploma
  • Experience in Manual Handling Assessments (required); knowledge of HSE ART Tool
  • Background in medium to high-volume manufacturing or engineering environments
  • Approximately 3-5 years' experience to perform the job at a competent level
  • Ability to work independently, set personal targets, and adjust to workload priorities
  • Interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to customer service
  • Awareness of company issues and relevant legislation, with the ability to keep informed of changes
  • Organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and produce accurate documents
  • IT knowledge, including Microsoft Office and SAP
  • A flexible approach to work, with the ability to work as part of a team
