Job Summary

Primetals UK is seeking a highly skilled Environmental Health and Safety Specialist to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the company's engineering and technological projects are executed in compliance with all relevant environmental, health, and safety regulations.

Main Responsibilities
  • Maintenance of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems
  • Leading and influencing behaviours to change existing culture and move towards a behavioural EH&S system and sustainable business model
  • Provision of and monitoring of EHS risks, strategy, and plans to ensure necessary action is taken to meet outlined requirements
  • Conducting internal audits and leading and participating in external audits
  • Carrying out and reviewing specific task risk assessments
  • Investigating accidents and incidents
  • Creation and delivery of toolbox talks
  • Monitoring of UK EHS legislation
  • Completion of practical training and toolbox talks
Requirements
  • A Level, HNC level, time served, or practical equivalent
  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate or working towards Diploma
  • Practical experience in Environmental and Health and Safety
  • Ability to influence and engage with stakeholders
  • Strong communication and IT skills
  • Experience of working with capital and preferably turnkey projects
  • CDM Experience
  • Understanding of COMAH regulations
  • Auditing Experience
  • Experience of management systems
  • Product safety experience desirable
