Austin Fraser is seeking a dedicated Industrial Equipment Technician to join our team in the Huntingdon area.

This permanent position offers a competitive salary of £47,000 to £49,000 (Negotiable DOE) plus benefits.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Repairing and maintaining site equipment and machinery.
  • Responding to breakdowns, systematically fault finding, identifying root causes, and implementing solutions to prevent recurrence in a fully automated factory environment.
  • Collaborating with production, support groups, and suppliers to implement improvement opportunities, increasing equipment efficiency and safety while reducing engineering downtime.
  • Experience working on various types of equipment, including complex hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic control systems.
  • Daily application of lean manufacturing principles and adherence to 5S methodology.

Candidates should have previous experience working as part of an engineering team, with excellent knowledge of fault-finding techniques and the ability to react and interact effectively in a production environment.

Required Qualifications:
  • A time-served Electrical Engineering qualification with ONC, NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds 2320 parts 1 & 2, or a suitable equivalent qualification.
  • A good understanding of PLCs is advantageous.
Shift Schedule:

The selected candidate will work a rotating 3 shift system: 6am to 2pm Monday to Friday, 2pm to 10pm Monday to Friday, and 10pm to 6am Sunday to Thursday.
