Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Chef Manager to lead our Sushi team in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food safety and health and safety regulations, with the ability to build confidence and capability in their team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Sushi team in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety on site.
  • Ensure the team meets audit standards for food and health & safety compliance while meeting EHO expectations.
  • Prepare fresh ingredients by hand, including meat and raw fish products each shift.
  • Accurately label products ensuring lawful compliance around food safety and allergen compliance each shift.
  • Be a skilled multitasker and able to work in a team or on their own.
  • Have a good understanding of Food Safety & Health and Safety regulations, ability to follow brand standards and comply with company policies.

Requirements

  • Level 2 Food Safety certificate, HACCP, Allergens and COSHH are desirable.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and lead by example.
  • Pride in work, constantly looking for ways to improve and continually learning.
  • Reliable transportation for commuting to work.
