Job Title: Academy Catering Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Academy Catering Manager to join our team at the Ministry of Justice. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the food services within our establishment, ensuring the provision of high-quality meals to prisoners and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the food services budget and ensure compliance with financial procedures.
  • Supervise and train staff within the kitchen area, ensuring they are aware of their responsibilities and adhere to health and safety protocols.
  • Implement and manage food safety and hygiene policies, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Develop and implement menus that meet the dietary needs of prisoners and staff, ensuring cultural and health requirements are met.
  • Manage the ordering and inventory of food and ingredients, minimizing waste and ensuring effective utilization of resources.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and liaison.
  • Contribute to the development of local policies and procedures, ensuring consistency across the establishment.
  • Monitor and analyze data related to catering services, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Hold qualifications and competences of F&S Supervisor – Catering.
  • Hold a Food Hygiene Level 4 Diploma or equivalent Level 4 award in HACCP.
  • Demonstrate previous competency in supervising or managing staff within a kitchen environment.
